I’ve had a few setbacks since “Artifacts” dropped in September. I’ve gotten a lot of good feedback on the record, but unfortunately haven’t gotten to play it out much. I came down with my annual cough/congestion fiesta much worse than usual to the point that I was bedridden for a short time. Once I was over that, I got a spasm in my back (caused by the coughing) that once again confined me to the bed. Once I got adjusted and was over that (big ups to my chiropractor Dr. Lynch), my sickness came back. I had to cancel a couple of gigs, in addition to another one that I found out about being cancelled second hand. On top of all of that, I’ve been struggling with some voice issues, and the stress of trying to book shows while being a full time parent/business owner. Let’s just say October was a wash, but I’ve got a few sets lined up next week that I’m really hype about.
This coming Tuesday November 17th, I’m back at one of my favorite places, Al’s Bar here in Lexington. Bryan from Those Crosstown Rivals books a monthly Singer-Songwriter Showcase event there, and I’m privileged to be a part of it. There will be a few other local sensitive acoustic dudes bringing the thunder, so I hope you can come on out. RSVP on Facebook!
Saturday night November 21st in Bowling Green, I’m opening up with a set of my material at Grace Church of Bowling Green. This will be the CD release party for my best bro Brandon’s All Around the Dinner Table project. “From the Mouths of Shepherds” is one of my favorite releases this year. I’m not just saying that because he’s my dude, so you should pick it up from Bad Apple’s site or at the show. I’ll be pulling double duty and playing lead guitar in AAtDT. My labelmates Wintering and Whytheycame will also be performing. The show is free, so RSVP on Facebook!
I’m hoping to get back to playing acoustic sets regularly in 2016, basically anywhere nearby that will have me. If you’d like to book me, fill out my contact form and we’ll work it out.
And now, just because, here’s a “cool” collection of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s puns from the 1997 film Batman and Robin:
