EPK Biography
Sempervivi is a Lexington, KY punk band, formed in 2015. Derek Price (vocals, guitar) joins Conor Creech (drums, vocals), and Justin Haglund (bass, vocals). After two solo EPs on Bad Apple Records, Sempervivi then became a full band in 2018. When new songs emerged, they wielded a harder edged punk vibe, also mixing in 80s pop synths. All the while, it stayed true to the band’s DIY roots.
They tracked their first full length record, 2019’s “Can’t Please Everyone” at Sightglass Sound (Picturesque, Stranger Club). The album covered themes such as social anxiety, political divides, and broken friendships. Their live show schedule grew in order to support it, with dates in Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, and Tennessee.
During COVID-19, the band stayed active from a distance, recording demos and Youtube videos remotely. When live music opened back up in 2021, the band resumed local and regional dates, scoring opening slots for such punk legends as The Queers and D.R.I.
When the 2023 EP “Big If True” hit streaming platforms, it mixed pop punk, skate punk, and midwest emo, leading with the single “Rad Bromance”.

Reviews
“Prosthetic Reflections”…I really like it. It started off with so much energy, I really liked it right away. It’s a cool song.
Mike Herrera of MXPX on The Mike Herrera Podcast
(Artifacts is) a pretty breezy, fun EP with a lot of catchy guitar work, solid vocal performances, and an all around good batch of songs.
Despite beginning 2019 with a new lineup, Derek Price and the guys in Sempervivi play a polished high energy set that any punk rocker would be happy to mosh to.
